WHAT IS A SALES ENABLEMENT PLAYBOOK?
A sales enablement playbook is a documented system for how your company onboards, trains, coaches, and measures its sales team, with every program tied to a revenue outcome like ramp time, conversion, or quota attainment.
Most organizations already have training, tools, and content. The challenge is aligning those efforts to revenue and sustaining them after rollout. This playbook gives you a practical framework to build an enablement system that drives performance.

SALES ENABLEMENT FAQS
What is a sales enablement playbook?
A sales enablement playbook is a documented system for how a company onboards, trains, coaches, and measures its sales team. A strong playbook ties every program to a revenue outcome, like ramp time, conversion, or quota attainment, and spells out how managers reinforce skills after training.
What should a 30-60-90 day sales enablement plan include?
Days 1 to 30: align with revenue leaders, run a listening tour, audit existing programs, and set baseline metrics. Days 31 to 60: design role-based onboarding, learning paths, and manager reinforcement tools, then pilot them. Days 61 to 90: launch with executive support, train managers before reps, track adoption, and set a reporting cadence.
How do you measure sales enablement ROI?
Start with the business problem, not the program. For every enablement initiative, define the outcome that needs to improve, the behavior that needs to change, how it will be reinforced, and the metric that should move. Then track the few metrics that matter for each role, like meetings booked for SDRs, stage conversion and deal size for AEs, and ramp time and quota attainment for managers. Capture a baseline first, watch for behavior change early, and report business impact quarterly.
How long should sales onboarding take?
Factor 8 recommends about two weeks of new hire training, followed by nesting, then 4 to 6 hours of ongoing training each month to cover skills not taught in new hire training. Once reps reach quota, that drops to 2 to 4 hours of upskilling or career path training per month.
What is Everboardingâ„¢?
Everboarding™ is Factor 8’s model for moving training ownership from Factor 8 to your internal team over about three years. Factor 8 leads delivery first, then co-delivers, then certifies your trainers, so your team owns the content and delivery and moves to a license-only fee.
